I am not a professional musician. In fact, I’d more likely refer to myself as musical than as “a musician”. Other than playing trumpet in high school and junior high, I haven't had any formal training in music or musical theory. Most of what I've learned I've picked up along the way. That being said, I love musical instruments, and I’ll play anything I can get my hands on.
I'm not exceptional at any one instrument, but rather, play a lot of different things "okay". (Though I'm probably most skilled at ukulele and Hawaiian slack key guitar, hence the heavy emphasis on those two on this site.)
This blog is to help share things I've learned along the way, in hopes that it will help other self-starter musicians.
